The Location of the Biblical Garden of Eden (from Genesis 2)

Parted River Becoming 3 Headwaters (now 4 Total Sources of Water)

From Genesis 2:8-10 – The location of the Garden of Eden is on the eastern half of “Eden” from where 4 rivers originated up in the mountains back then.

Gen 2:8 ¶ And the LORD God planted a garden (Garden of Eden) eastward in Eden; (in the eastern half of Eden) and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Gen 2:9   And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Gen 2:10 ¶ And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; (the Garden of Eden – which is in the eastern half of Eden) and from thence (from the river that went out of Eden to water the garden) it (the river) was parted, and became into four heads. (The “heads” are the sources of the water for each river – i.e. “headwaters”.) (Just as a side note; Each of these 4 rivers flowed into 4 different seas which are the present day Black, Arabian, Mediterranean and Caspian Seas.)

Gen 2:11   The name of the first (river) [is] Pison: that [is] it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where [there is] gold;

Gen 2:12   And the gold of that land [is] good: there [is] bdellium and the onyx stone.

Gen 2:13   And the name of the second river [is] Gihon: the same [is] it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

Gen 2:14   And the name of the third river [is] Hiddekel: that [is] it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river [is] Euphrates.

The names of the 4 rivers then were Pison, Gihon, Hiddekel and Euphrates.

Today, 2 of those rivers border Armenia while the other 2 border Azerbaijan (on its southern border “tip”) and Turkey (on its southeast border). The last river continues through to the eastern border of Iraq (which finally ends in the Gulf of Oman).

All 4 of these rivers start up in the mountains on the northwestern “tip” of Iran and the southwestern “tip” of Azerbaijan.

All these 4 rivers originate from the likely area of the Garden of Eden, which is very close to what is the present day northern tip of the “Arasbaran Protected Area” (i.e. Could this be an “Arabian Protected Area”). In addition, all of these 4 rivers originate near the western outskirts of the city of “Babaylo” (i.e. “Babylon“?) …interesting, huh?
